In July our family took a little getaway to Artesian Lakes Resort. It turned into more of a wildlife family adventure (raccoons on the porch, alligators in the water, deer, armadillo, red birds in the tree right next to our porch and horses). The website said there were alligators but they didn't stress that they were everywhere and quite big. Right below our balcony we saw as many as 8 at one time and one that had to be 10 feet long. After the initial shock, we started adjusting and as always had a great time. Kris, Greg & Frank were even brave enough to canoe and boat out in the water with the alligators and the whole family went for the dip in the swim lake where they say there were also alligators (thankfully we never saw any). The pool was awesome and lots of fun and the slide was definitely a hit. I love my family so much and cherish each and every one of our times together. Until our next adventure...
