Down on the Farm

Our Thanksgiving started like this... As soon as we got to the Pickett's on Wednesday we decide to go out and see the piggies. Parker is good with petting them but Carson wants nothing to do with them. He does find their food fascinating though (see below). Apparently all of the people are too much for the black pig to handle and he starts freaking out and squealing like crazy and can't bend his back legs. He is doing this squealing, barking, almost screaming thing. Carson does not like it one bit and starts crying himself. Kris calls a friend to come out and take a look. He's not sure but says he needs to see a vet ASAP. So Blake, Kris & Katharine load up the pig (Greg, my bro-in-law, is battling a kidney stone, and is not up for the trip). As it turns out, the pig had a panic attack. Wow...I would have never guessed. The vet was worried he might not make it but so far so good. We decided it would be smart to not bother the piggies for the rest of the visit. ha

We ended the afternoon on a happier note as the boys played football with cousin Blakie. They look up to the big boys so much...it's too cute!

Pigs are weird like that. I am not ashamed to say I have seen that before. :) Looks like fun. I had enough farm life to last me awhile the past four years. Jeremy learned horses bite, hard! Can't wait to hear more about it Sat. Your family is awesome.
