BBQ, Glass Bottom Boats & Gobbler Football

Friday night football was calling our name...the Cuero Gobblers made it to the playoffs and were playing in Seguin. We decided to just make a day of it and tour around the area. Our first stop was City Market in Luling for BBQ. Frank was so excited...he was like a kid in a candy store. There's nothing like eating brisket, sausage and ribs right off the butcher paper. So yummy!
Next I took a trip down memory lane at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos. Unfortunately the majority of the park is closed down but they still have the glass bottom boats. The boys loved seeing all of the fish and fresh water springs. I have so many great memories of this place with my Grandma Bill. She would take me there almost every time I went to visit. I sure do miss her!!!
We rounded out the night at the football game where Loggie took home the win. Yeah!

My parents and mom's family live just outside of Luling, in Harwood. They get Luling City Market BBQ for lunch every Friday! We were lucky enough to be there this past Friday to enjoy it too! Yes, even the day after Thanksgiving, they eat BBQ!
Looks like a fun trip!
