Ike Strikes

Wow, what a hurricane! We are truly blessed and came out of the storm with damage only to our fence. We left Thursday before the storm and camped out at the Pickett House until we got power yesterday (Monday). My niece, Sam, is still waiting to hear about her apartment. She lives towards the West End of Galveston, right where the seawall ends. Please keep her in your prayers!
It is quite eerie around here...tons of trees down, little gas at the stations, little food at the stores around us, and school & work closed.

We are so thankful that all of our family and friends in the area are safe (most without power but at least they are ok)!
